God Looks At The Heart

Someone walks into the room
And it’s easy to assume
That we know what’s on the inside
By their clothes and hair and eyes
That might be a useful tool
But it’s not a hard-fast rule
We might be surprised
For some are masters of disguise

CHORUS
But God looks deep within
Way beyond the surface of our skin
Individually
Treated like we all would hope to be
When we judge by their appearance
We forget the deepest part
God looks at the heart

Like an iceberg in the sea
Huge and cold though it may be
There’s a part that’s even bigger
So far down we just can’t see
Now there’s no need here to panic
We’re not riding the Titanic
Like the part the water hides
We must find the heart inside
Take some time to see what’s deep inside

CHORUS
