Friends
We are two different people
Each with different goals
But the Lord put us here together
To share each other’s souls
I know we’ll share our common points
But still I’m sure we’ll disagree
I guess well I’ll let you be you
And pray that you’ll let me be me
I know what I feel and I feel it strong
But to force me on you would be more than wrong
If you were just like me we’d both be alone
The end of harmony and the start of monotone
I know we’ll share our common points
Still I’m sure we’ll disagree
I guess well I’ll let you be you
And pray that you’ll let me be me
And we’ll fellowship the night away
And share the word and laugh and pray
And we’ll thank the Lord at our times end
That in Him we are precious new-found friends
